This weekend is Easter. A lot of you will be traveling so I thought I would highlight one of my favourite positive feedback points that I found while I was traveling this year. The reusable water bottle is one of my first and favourite swap outs. I read a quote that the "water bottle companies are not in the water business but in the plastic bottle business" and it completely changed how I thought of single use plastic water bottles. They leach toxins into your water, are less regulated than tap water and fill our oceans and landfills at alarming rates.
Sometimes the proof in in the picture! Do you use a reusable water bottle? I do. I love mine! It keeps my water cold longer, it says something about me… I want to make a difference. As I was filling up, I noticed the numbers and they kept adding up! Is there such a thing as an eco nerd? Maybe there needs to be. I get excited when I start to see the numbers. Sometimes in the green journey, you can feel alone, I often have feedback of “really you think you can change anything?” What difference can one person make? Well the numbers are in… 20,346 plastic water bottles saved in one spot, the airport is a busy place, lots of opportunity here but the second picture with17,875 is from Arrowhead provincial park in Huntsville Ontario. It's in the middle of the woods!
Take photos, Share your numbers and congratulate yourself for keeping one more plastic water bottle from going into our water ways and landfills forever… the numbers are growing! You are collectively making a huge impact! THANK YOU!
To celebrate and keep the movement going BeeBAGZ™ will be giving away a water bottle. Let's keep those numbers rising! Post a photo to either our facebook or instagram account of your water bottle or numbers on a water fountain and tell me why you love it. You'll be entered into a draw for a Camelback reusable water bottle.
